An artifact of unknown origins destined for the kings palace is stolen. Two of the thieves have been hanged, but the others have scattered to the wind. Its unknown which, if any, possesses the artifact. The kings agents are on the hunt for the surviving thieves and the artifact, with orders to kill the thieves on sight. And retrieve the artifact, no matter the cost.
Elia an outcast, finds a man just outside of her town practically dead, she uses her magic to spare his life. Despite the risk that this man, could be the attacker responsible for the near death of another man found just that morning. His name is Nathan, and he can’t understand how he isn’t dead.
Nathan follows Elia around town intent on repaying her for saving his life, not that he knows how she did it. Elia can’t get rid of him, and worse yet, he keeps asking how she saved him. A question with an answer that could get her killed, or worse.
When agents of the crown arrive and begin asking questions, things start to get very dangerous, for Elia.
