Jake Sterling sets off to New York after getting into a university there over the high school summer break, but what he doesn't know is that Hailey Austin follows after him to NYC after developing feelings for him and unable to bear seeing him leave. And so the hunt for Jake in New York begins. The club isn't close anymore as distance tore them apart. Sure they were upset at first but soon realized that it was a course of life and bound to happen. They occasionally reminisce of the past and the fun they had together, wishing things could've turned out differently... But is all that true? What exactly happened over the summer break? A week has passed since the music competition and school has finally become a much more welcoming environment for the music club. Although Hailey Austin still finds herself interested in Jake Sterling, she realizes that pursuing him isn't worth it. Knowing that she deserves better, she vows to move on and to prohibit any feelings for him to prevent getting hurt. Jake, meanwhile, has grown fond of Hailey after spending time with her and realizing that she's always been there for him. He's determined to get her to see him as more than just a friend, even if it means breaking down her defenses and winning her affection.
