This witty, yet heartbreaking, narrative follows the lives of four young adults who grew up in the same small, coastal town in England. It all begins in the summer, when aspiring writer Tess returns home from university and reconnects with her old friends - Cat, Jack and Benny. Having always despised his hometown, Benny has spent most of his early twenties travelling, where he has dated a series of women (all of whom have made seemingly little impact on him). Now home, he finds himself growing closer to Tess with the pair entering a complicated situationship that is plagued with communication issues right from the start. Meanwhile, Jack and Cat face their own trials and tribulations, with his drug and alcohol abuse beginning to sour their relationship. Packed with twists and turns, this gritty and relatable story will endeavour to make you laugh and cry.
