This is a rewrite of my first Golden Guard X Reader story. This one will hopefully be much better.
This story will use She/Her pronouns but if you go by anything else you can still tag along and pretend it uses your pronouns.
This story will contain spoilers for The Owl House.
All of the art in this story is not mine so I give all the credit to the owners. (The cover art and art at the beginning of chapters.)

Y/N is 21, and is a wild witch, specialized in Beast Keeping, plants, and Potions. Once she left Hexside, she wanted to use her own magic the way she wanted to, but that would mean joining the emperors coven. She is bound to herself, not a coven. She's a part of this guild of other wild witches like her. And their main goal? To take down the golden guard who's responsible for imprisoning other wild witches. Does she have the guts and the willpower to take this guy down? Or does she realize he's not the bad guy people say he is. An assignment as the personal escort of the Golden Guard himself doesn't sound too shabby- especially when you've got exceptional abilities to back you up. But reading minds isn't quite as useful as everyone makes it out to be, and your new charge is as bitter and unpredictable as he is endearing. Picture isn't mine As he stood there, being offered the staff of the last Golden Guard. he accepted all of his conditions. Hunters dream was finally coming true, and now as he looked at the man in front of him, the person who took him in and raised him. He promised to not only be the best Golden Guard he could, but to be a nephew his Uncle could be proud of. This is a story about Hunters life from his first days of being a scout, to being trapped in the human realm with the others. watch as he changes over time and eventually overcomes the manipulation and mistreatment his "Uncle" did to him. I want to state that THIS IS NOT CANON!!! this is my version of events tied to my AU so PLEASE don't go in the comments saying things like "that didn't happen" OR "where did you learn that" this is my AU and things have been changed to support it.
