On the first day of October, 1989, forty-three women around the world simultaneously gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first begun. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and playboy adventurer, made it his personal mission to find and adopt as many of these children as possible, and blah, blah blah. I bet you already know how the story goes. Here's the thing though: my mother wasn't one of those women. I was born in 1989... in December. But somehow I was born with powers.

Hi, my name is Artemis Rose and I possess the ability to manipulate and connect with nature and its elements, you know, like throwing fire balls, freezing stuff, moving water with my mind, controlling the weather, manipulating plants, trees, etcetera, etcetera. Fire is the element i can control best, though. I've always struggled with ice, but I'm getting better at it.

Besides from my powers, I've always been a normal girl with a normal life. That was until my mother died and I was adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves and recluted to attend his Academy filled with a bunch of kids with super powers when I was only ten years old. You know, nothing out of the ordinary.
