there was a girl named Kaia. She is one of the only humans left on earth. When the sun imploded there wasn't much humanity could do except sit back and watch. The ones that survived the implosion waited for the inevitable. For food to be gone and for the earth to drift off in space.
Only one of those horrible things occurred, most of the plants died. A small percentage of trees and other herbs adapted to the sunless world over time. Many animals that consumed a lot of them died also. Earth didn't drift off into space, its gravitational pull attached to mars like the sun did with the other planets. Now earth and mars currently orbit around each other pulling on each other, like tug of war.
The humans that were left teamed up and did what they could for food, scrounging for bugs and sometimes worse things. Something else happened right after the implosion. Dragonflies got smarter, a small amount of people could do magic, and birds started to get bigger and more dangerous. No one knows what happened, whether it was because of the lack of sunlight or if these things were going to happen anyway.
If your mindset is to survive you can not stop moving and you can't make a home. Otherwise if you stop for more than a few days, the cold will set in and you will get hypothermia. lets just hope Kaia and her friends can survive.
