He snapped his fingers and she could see the hypothetical lightbulb turning on inside his head. "You mean the seven-headed snake who still hasn't figured out world domination. What the heck does he even do with all those brains?"

Emrys paused, blinking rapidly. "Wha-wait, that's accurate."

Percy flashed a blinding smile, green eyes flickering with amusement. "It's my middle name. Anyway, I never did catch yours."

It was her turn to laugh. "That's because I didn't throw it." She extended her hand and he took it, standing up and brushing the rubble from his jeans. "Emrys Clover, daughter of Ether."
