Young, stupid, and impulsive, Altair Amire joins the Army. Only to figure out, she's one of the few paired with higher-ranking commanding officers. Now she's being led by Sergeant Vierra Cooke. The redhead may seem friendly to the outside eye, she does put on quite the show to keep it that way. But Altair tends to push and push at her commanding officer's will by making many, many mistakes. Little by little, Altair wanes down Cooke's patience and she snaps. What could go wrong with the hooked teenager and the fucked-up Sergeant? Only time will tell.

"I'm just asking you to please not do anything I wouldn't do at college. Just be safe." - Those final words that Evelyn spoke to Lillian right before she died never really ended up sticking with her. Lillian starts college and almost immediately joins the recreational school group, labeling themselves as an art group, the Dissidents. When in reality, they pride themselves in regular frat parties, which always included alcohol, drugs, and violence. Mostly a group of no-goods, that Lillian finds attractive and right up her alley. She fits in almost immediately, and becomes very close to their leader, Asher, the popular drummer in their universities most famous band. Co-leaders Rose and Hazel attract her into this group - with similar styles. Are they trustworthy? Lillian struggles with fitting into college with a traumatic past, and severe guilt. She struggles between knowing what is right and what is wrong, and has a constant reminder in the back of her mind of what she has done to her sister Evelyn. *Content Warning: This novel contains content that may be sensitive to some readers.
