After devastating events lead to Recovery Girl adopting an orphaned Izuku, the boy is terrified of his own ability to hurt those around him. His birth mother told Recovery Girl that their bloodline was cursed, and Izuku desperately wants to disprove her. After a chance encounter with frequent patient Toshinori Yagi leads to inheriting the Quirk of All Might himself, Izuku Midoriya is ready to do anything and go beyond to become the Number One Pro Hero at UA High School.
