Rhaenyra Targaryen is meant for greater things than the workings of politics.

Her knight Criston Cole, knew this from the moment she faced off her uncle at Dragonstone. He seeks to take her away from the role a of royal pawn to a life of freedom. But when the Princess rejects his offer, he is shattered. The decisions he makes after bring consequences for them both.

Rhaenyra tries to balance her love for her knight with the reality of her duty, nearly breaking them both in the process. But the words of her fathers prophecy, along with her recurrent dreams of an unknown Targaryen woman, sends them on a journey to salvage the fate of the Seven Kingdoms, and humanity itself.
