In the distant future, the science of stimulation manipulation is no longer in its infancy; in short, extremely lifelike, realistic simulations are now possible. However, the simulations created proved so immersive that most people chose to spend their entire lives in them, eliminating the need for a physical body. With only a brain anchoring their mind to this world, they are forever trapped in the simulations they selected.
Some, however, opted against this radical new technology. One such man travels underground to visit a gargantuan vault where the disembodied brains are stored.

The world of video games was fun, joyful, and endlessly entertaining. However, it was always an illusion-everything was fake in the end. Companies tried to create better games, but one surpassed them all. Immersition Company, the most powerful tech corporation in the world, developed a revolutionary video game. Despite its innovation, the company decided to test it first. Among the few people who applied for the trial, Max was one of them. Scientists claimed the test was complete. The probability of any error was just 0.001%. Anyone would have said the code was flawless. But reality proved otherwise. A catastrophic error occurred inside the game. Whoever died in the game, died in the real world. The job Max had always dreamed of became a digital nightmare. Now, he must face deadly trials, mind-twisting puzzles, and nearly impossible enemies. The only way out: collect all the shards scattered throughout the game. Max must change-or perish. Will he make it back to his world, or die lost between lines of code? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're interested in seeing the end of this story, use this link: https://app.glitchy.ai/sign-up?rid=152493. Once upon a time, five people agreed to be part of a secret experiment. The experiment was meant to give them superpowers. They were promised that their loved ones would not be affected by the experiment, no matter what the outcome was. This was good, as the experiment failed--or so they thought. For one, it was her first child. For another, his second-born. For a third, her third. For the fourth, her fourth, and for the fifth, his first. They were all born with strange powers--powers that nobody could explain, and that put everybody around them in danger. Taken from their parents, the children were raised apart from society. They served a particular purpose. Nothing would go wrong. Until something does... or a lot of somethings.
