This story picks up the day after the Featherington ball. Colin is about to leave for another tour when he realizes that Penelope has changed. The Rift between them grows more each day and so he decides to stay and fix it. But Heaven help him to find the reason behind it! And when he does discover the reason, will he be able to mend the pieces of a pure broken heart? Or will he be too late? In breaking the heart of his truest love, Colin learns, that he has in fact broken his own as well! Lots of angst, heart break and lovers quarrels. But all good love stories will right in the end!
