She slowly dragged the pointy tip of her dagger across my bare chest. "My greatest strength is in killing anyone I want." Her eyes rose to meet mine, her thick lashes around the forest green lenses were so mesmerizing. She brought her face a little closer and whispered, "But I can't kill you." I gulped audibly. Not in fear, but in holding back the lust I was feeling for her. I want her. I caught her hand that held the dagger and lightly twisted it as such that she let go of it. It fell on the floor with a loud clatter. I pushed her so now she was against the wall, my bare chest rising and falling against hers. "Does it mean, I'm your weakness?" I asked. She registered my lips with dilated pupils and bit her own lower lip before whispering huskily, "Yes!"

I kept my tone low, the frustration rising within me like a simmering storm. "I just heard a thrilling news, and I had to come and congratulate you in person," I said, my words dripping with sarcasm. I took a step closer, closing the distance between us, my eyes locked on hers with an unnerving intensity. I lowered my voice, my words barely above a whisper, but they seemed to reverberate through the air like a scream. "You know? To pretend I'm not dying inside."
