Hanyō's Homeland details the alternate world of Japan, since the 19th century, there has been a strange uprising of Hanyōs, Yokai-Human hybrids. Causing certain changes and rules in Japanese society. After 200 years since the Hanyō evolution, a new case of a naturally-born Yokai appeared. A giant, bloodthirsty and vicious Oni-woman appeared in the 21st century, many labeled her as a cold-blooded beast, but her tale is anything but.

Long ago yokais lived in the human world for decades. But eventually created their own world and entrusted humans to guard the gateway leading between the two worlds. That way the yokais and humans could live peacefully.
