At Cloud Recesses, Lan Qiren was arranged a marriage for his young nephew, Lan Wangji whose the delicate and strong man in his family names, with Luo Qingyang whose a young and fair lady in her adoptive family, within a few days. Wangji has no intention on marriage but for his family, he is willing to but it goes wrong when Qingyang become a mess as her adoptive family pressure her.
