         14 year old teen writer Leanna Forrest and her sister, Tori Forrest, have always lived together. They've never left the small coastal town that they call home. They live with their parents Chelsea and James Forrest in a beautiful two story house. One day, when Leanna goes on an early morning walk for some inspiration for her newest novel, she slips off of the rock she was standing on and into the ocean. She thought she was going to drown, until Griffin Wood, a 15 year old boy staying with his grandparents for the summer, saves her. Leanna thinks there's something different about Griffin, but in a good way. Leanna always though she didn't belong in her village, and that she belongs somewhere else. Once she gets to know Griffin, she figures out where it is that she belongs. Leanna has a few close friends, while Tori is friends with half of the town. When Leanna meets Griffin, everything changes.
