Sabre is very touch deprived. He is very jumpy, and has fast reflexes because of all the darkness attacks. Nobody but Orange/Rainbow knew, because Sabre was with Rainbow, and got suspicious. Eventually Sabre told him, because he threatened to tell everyone else.
