As Above, So Below

The prophecies state that in the time when the thirteenth Daemon walks among men, all things will fall as The Above and The Below spill over into the realm of man, The Between.

Marcin is a bastard and a vagrant, doing whatever it takes to survive, even if that means betraying the one person who has shown him any kindness since arriving in Bel'viir, the capital city of the Holy Havv'ah Empire. Trouble always seems to find him, though he is seldom without blame when it comes to looking for it. Before he knows it, he is ensnared in a conspiracy involving strange beings called Spirits and Devils, and the leader of The Church, the Daemon.

Norah is the daughter of minor nobility from the prosperous kingdom of Eleran, however, her life is turned upside down as she and her parents are forced to flee their home. Things only go from bad to worse as their caravan is attacked by bandits in the night, then by something far grimmer. Before she knows it, she finds herself alone and sold into slavery in a foreign nation with no hope of escape.
