Niko, Beck and JD have been friends since 4th grade but everything changes when they enter 8th. 
Beck seems to be ignoring JD more, he spends more time with the high schoolers and Niko. The girls in the class don't make anything easier for the three of them while JD finds out something about Niko and Beck that could change his friendship with them forever.

Niko is an easy going person who lets other people take control of him. He wonders whether JD wants to be friends with him and why is Beck hanging out with him more? 

JD tends to be aggressive yet understanding, he can be hard to be friends with. He's been friends with Beck for a long time but as soon as he realises that his love for basketball seems to drag him further away from his friends. 

Beck is the leader of the group, but he doesn't boss people around unless he needs to. He's been friends with JD since 4th grade, but when Niko hangs out with him more, he slowly changes his thoughts about JD. While he holds a secret that could demolish or heal their friendship forever.
