And third, your survival-despite how unhealthy you know it is to be this way-was completely and irrevocably contingent on his presence; whether physically or mentally, emotionally or spiritually, from the moment you met him you were inextricably linked. You needed him like you needed air to breathe. If you stayed away from him for too long you risked coming completely undone every. Single. Time. You wish you didn't unravel at the seems like that.
