Avery is 17 and goes to Murphy high school. She has a younger sister who is only 10. Her mother died three years ago and ever since then her father abused her. She's always taken the hit for Katie,her younger sister,and she's basically raised Katie. She has one friend Destiny. Destiny is the most tomboy you'll ever meet. She's also the shyest girl you'll ever meet. She's the type that talks about football but what can you say when she has 4 brothers and only her dad ? Destiny knows about Avery's dad. But Destiny doesn't know if she should tell someone. She promised Avery not to but she might get hurt worse if she doesn't says anything. Destiny is picked on and physically bullied because of her shyness. Nobody knows why she's so shy. Except Avery. Avery thinks that there isn't a such thing as love. She thinks it's just a word. She doesn't even notice that people do love and care about her. Will she ever realize that ?
