Whether it was because they were too merciful in a place that demanded strength, or because the Underground broke them, Frisk died at the hands of a major character (Asgore), and their SOUL was shattered before they could reset. Kael is the seventh fallen child, but unlike the others, they didn't fall trying to escape something or out of curiosity. Kael fell by complete accident-a cruel twist of fate, perhaps pulled by the very magic that keeps the Barrier sealed. Was this truly the last RESET? Sans wondered. But he knew only Frisk would tell, only this young girl would decide his future. He hated the thought of it at first, but hatred began to grow numb after he figured out he had no say in his own future. He had to admit though, Frisk was pretty reasonable, it was Chara who was the maniac. But she was gone now, so what was the anticipating, eerie, feeling that he had in his bones? The feeling that something wasn't right, of course, this timeline was already incredibly strange.
