New York City. The noise. The lights. The seemingly never ending days. All that remains between Irene Austin and her move back home to England are four months, a single class, and her graduation recital. Yet as the excitement of leaving the city behind increases, so does the tension. What Irene had anticipated to be a rewarding final semester has been thrown off key by one professor, Dr. Diana Dávila.

Dr. Dávila is back living in Manhattan after fourteen years away, and not for the reasons she'd originally planned. After losing her audition spot with the Metropolitan Opera, she's been manipulated by her family into taking a teaching job at Juilliard. The last thing she wanted to be doing this spring was lecturing graduate students on composition. She dreams of creating unique scores and traveling the world to share them. Diana wants time to focus on composing for herself, but unfortunately that focus is quickly shattered. The student in the front row and her score for strings are out to ruin her tempo.

My Hitwoman

32 parts Complete

"I finally passed by the last alley before the one my apartment was situated on, when suddently my heart stopped. My body freezed and my ears were ringing from the loud sound of the end. The smell of death, fear and blood. It all happened so soon, too soon. She was just standing there watching as the life was flowing out of the guy's body that was now laying on the cold concrete, lifeless. Her tall figure... so powerful, confident. I watched everything wide eyed and then, the world had stopped. Her head suddently turned towards me and, oh my God. I could feel those sharp, green eyes burning a hole right through my skull in the darkness. I held my breath and quickly hid behind the wall but it was too late. I was foolish. I should've ran away." ... Grace Miller, a clumsy second-year psychology student, never expected to witness a murder-or to cross paths with Amy Carnell, a cold, powerful woman who never lets anyone in. They couldn't be more different. But fate has a twisted way of pulling opposites together. What happens when light collides with shadow? Read to find out :)
