In which, upon being betrayed a second time by somebody he thought he could trust, Kunikuzushi is left bleeding out- and thinking he is to die.

However, all that changes when he wakes up to a young girl by his bedside and messy bandages wrapped around his stomach. Alone in a cottage with this girl, (Y/N) (L/N), Kunikuzushi will most definitely find a trusted friend- and maybe even something more.

Maybe this time, just this one little time, somebody would stay.

All of the characters in this story were created from Hoyoverse (Mihoyo). I am merely adding a twist onto the original plot from their game, Genshin Impact.

The chapters, and obviously the title of the book (as well as several references inside of it) are from a song called "Fourth of July." It was produced by Sufjan Stevens and I highly recommend reading it.
