At age 7 Felicity was taken from her home during the awakening. The awakening was the time when all spirits banished to the underworld are brought back and used for power, although not all souls are pure. And one decided to latch to Felicity's soul. They planned to kill her until they discovered the second soul. After that it was to dangerous to kill her.
9 years later Felicity still struggles to understand her purpose in life. That is until she meets Caleb, the one person who sees potential in her. But that's when things get rough.
