Silas was like the clouds, only being there for little moments in her life whenever he needed her. She never knew how fast people could go from strangers to friends, to almost lovers. Not quite friends, not quite lovers. More than strangers, yet still not enough for each other. 

Not because they were different or somewhat unalike. But because neither could admit the affection communicated through sight. A pull, some feeling, a stare.
