The Trial's Remenants

"𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖙𝖗𝖎𝖆𝖑 𝖎𝖘 𝖇𝖆𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖉 𝖎𝖓 𝖈𝖗𝖎𝖒𝖘𝖔𝖓, 𝖘𝖜𝖆𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖉 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖆𝖚𝖘𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖎𝖔𝖚𝖘 𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊."

A trial is to be commenced, a heavenly warlord to be sentenced to the Mortal Realm for a finite lifetime, where they shall cross the wildest oceans--and meet equally wild people.

The first one is but a little unusual: carelessly gullible, utterly naive, with a mystifying edge clinging to them.

The second is what one would expect from a spoiled heir: they flaunt money left, right, and center, but the sharp point of battle still sticks to them with undying determination.

Both seem to be hiding something, and by the end of the trial, the warlord comes to a striking revelation: neither is who they seem, with the past's shadows stealing at them and burrowing into their bodies.
