"I haven't seen you in over three hundred years." He muttered softly as he looked me over with those deep blue eyes.

I felt a sudden pang in my heart as I looked at him, and his name came to my lips before I hardly realized it.

"...Lord Morpheus?" I asked softly as I carefully approached him.

"And it seems you still remember me." He said in a somewhat amused tone as he smiled a little, holding his hand out towards me. "We have a lot of catching up to do."

Over 500 years ago, Morpheus gave his young apprentice an assignment in the Waking World:

"Make the world better with every life you live, child. Brighten Mortal's lives; bring your gifts to them no matter what you may face there."

...Yet, he never told them when to return home. So, for 300 years, the young apprentice stayed in the Mortal realm, living and dying over and over to fulfill their purpose that Morpheus gave them.

In their most recent life, Morpheus has decided to seek out his apprentice once again; when he finds them however, he realizes that Mortal life has not been easy on them, especially the current one they're living now.

With most of their past memories now either gone or buried deep within, Morpheus now realizes that the young one he helped grow into fruition is now much older, and his heart is now conflicted.

But that's not without consequences either, for the one Morpheus sent to our world of Mortals is also feeling conflict... From what was once a puppy-love crush is now flourishing into proper love.

Whatever will these two, torn apart by time, do to show each other the way of their hearts?
