Rebecca gets dared at a sleepover with her friends to discover the new boy's secrets. She is hesitant, but doesn't want to be known as a chicken for her whole life, so she agrees. However, things start to seem off the moment she arrives at the house. Will it all go sideways or turn out okay?
I am open to critique and different ways of writing, as I am looking to improve. Any advice or suggestions of different phrasing will be greatly appreciated.

So, just a disclaimer. This is an old story I wrote for my four best friends back in middle school and I wasn't very good (I'm still not that good). I've tweaked it a bit but the plot is still the same. One of my friends, who's in the book, has asked me to put this up along with the sequel for some time now. So, yeah. Enjoy. Oh! And also, the cover is just using cats to symbolize my friends and I. The book isn't actually about cats. Also, the chapters are really short. --------- I've always dreamt of going on some amazing adventure with my friends but I never thought it would actually happen. One day, I'm just working on science homework and the next I'm in the Amazon forest with my four best friends on a mission. Not to mention, animals are disappearing more and more every day. Jenna, a young filmmaker, arrives at an abandoned warehouse to scout a location for her project, feeling a growing sense of unease. After a quick call with her co-worker, she begins to explore the eerie, empty space. As Jenna ventures deeper, her discomfort only increases, but she presses on, determined to capture the perfect shot. Just as she's setting up her equipment, the floor beneath her shifts and gives way, drawing her into a strange, shadowy place. She finds herself in an endless maze of yellow walls and flickering lights, with no clear way out. Back in the warehouse, her phone rings unanswered, her co-worker's name flashing in the empty room. I am not done brainstorming ideas yet, I will be posting only the first few chapters and see how it goes, maybe I can be able to squeeze in a few more ideas besides the ones I already got for this story. Remember despite the hate these mental illnesses receive, I believe you. Mental illnesses are no joke, they're not something I try to use for views. I am not hating on the illnesses. I know it's hard, but they are relevant to the book so I had to include them. If you're feeling depressed, please talk to a counsellor. The new boy in town doesn't have a lot of friends, or people to talk to. But then he runs into a woman with a great job and is the CEO of her own company, he tries to get a little half-time job with it. Meanwhile the woman has a daughter. And she is known as the troublemaker and toughest girl in highschool. They meet ways by her mom, and after that, a whole lot of events happen, and similar situations they get into, but in the end, they'll always end up meeting ways. This is honestly just a random book I made The story also took place in the 1980's so there's a lot of old stuff in the book 👍 But here are the warnings! !Vulgar words! ! Dramatic scenes! !
