My heart was crashing against my chest as I felt more tears slip. I tried to force them back, keep him from seeing me this way. He wrapped his arms around my waist, his chin in the crook of my shoulder. With his eyes closed, he kept a tight grip on me, comforting me. "People love, people leave, people forget." I say, finally releasing the tears. "I don't want to get close just to have to say goodbye again..". I bit my lip, trying to keep it from quivering. His chest moved up and down slowly, his breath against my neck. "I've always been there- I've always been scared. But, I could never forget the girl that I'm madly in love with." he said simply, his voice low but soft. My heart pounded against my chest as I absorbed his words. "But I can't even remember!" My voiced cracked as I raised it, and he understandingly nodded. "But I havent left yet, after everything. You keep forgetting that.". He reaches his arm up to my neck, gently touching the necklace at the base of my throat. His fingers brush over mine, absent mindedly playing with the heart shaped locket, as I've always done. "Please don't leave me.". I whisper, as I place my entire hand over the locket. His left arm tightened around my waist while his right hand snaked down my arm and to my wrist. "I pinky promise." he whispered in my ear, taking my hand firmly in his. They fit perfectly together, like they had been made to mold together. The safest place I've ever felt was right here in his arms.
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
