NOTHING PERSONAL

"So," I begin, chewing on my bottom lip nervously as I survey the girl in front of me, "how exactly does this work?"

She tilts her head slightly to the side and gives me a wide grin, bright white teeth glowing in the dimly lit diner, reminding me that I was her prey.

"You don't worry about a thing," she assures me, her wide brown eyes carrying a playful glint.

I nod, swallowing back my anxiety.

"For this to work," she says, leaning forward surreptitiously, "you have to fully trust me."

She reaches out a hand and places her warm fingers over mine, a gesture that should have been calming but instead spikes my heart rate.

"Give me full control," she says, voice lowered slightly so that only I could hear. My throat tightens with attraction, and I felt the hair on my neck stand like I'd been electrocuted.

"And I swear," another jolt coursed through me as her fingers drummed along my exposed wrist, "they won't doubt us for a second."
