Being cursed sucks. Especially when it's not even your fucking fault. A long time ago, before Evan was even born, his great-something-grandfather was founded out as a serial killer. He targeted anyone and everyone, and he fucked up even worse when he killed the daughter of the village's witch. Filled with anger, hurt, and revenge, the witch places a curse on him and vows that he will see and hear those he killed to the end of the days, and the hex will pass on through his line of blood. Enter the present day, Evan Lewis is heavily medicated, and trying his best to just live. It's near impossible when the souls of people follow him around, screaming in silence. Evan struggles day to day, staying away from the people of his class, struggling with his reality. Enter Mariposa Gutierrez. When Mariposa is around, the ghosts disappear and Evan thinks himself finally sane. Maybe Mariposa has the answer he needs? Maybe just maybe Evan can finally end the generational curse.

He was looking at me in a way that me feel like I was already naked. "Feel what?" I asked him, even though I knew exactly what he was talking about. The air between us was so thick, it was almost suffocating. Like we were made of two completely different ingredients that were begging to be mixed together. "This attraction between us, Lilac," he whispered out, placing his hands on either side of my head against the wall, trapping me from escaping him. Not that I wanted to.
