Meet Agent Ysa ("e-sa") Blake, a seasoned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, assigned to the Unsolved Unit. Her partner, Agent Natasha Romanoff, was killed during one of their longest investigations together. While the case remains unsolved, Director Stark reassigns her a new partner- Agent James Barnes, a hardened soldier, whose own partner had gone missing in action. Together, they see the unbelievable- and often fight the supernatural. They also have more than one mission where Director Stark booked a hotel room with only one bed. 

Agents Yelena Belova and Matt Murdock, as well as a number of other familiar faces from the MCU, appear as other agents in the Unsolved Unit. 

This series will only follow a linear timeline for the first few chapters, where I set up some of this AU. Beyond that, the stories will be out of order- consider them one-shots.
