The Core needed everything to fall into place, and they didn't trust Andrias to see it done. No, it wanted to do this itself. So when Andrias tried to shy away from the idea of killing Wit.
It got an idea. A devilish idea. Of course, if its plan was going to work it would have to become almost transparent, hidden in the folds of her mind. The Core didn't mind this. After all, it had been stuck in a basement for many years.
