After Valerie Kepler's  parents died when she was 10 she was put into custody of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis, her parents best friends. More than six years later, after getting the call that Mr and Mrs Curtis had died in an auto reck, her life gets turned upside down. 
She gets into a fight with her new guardian Darry, and leaves for California. With her height of 5'9, beautiful hair and body, she gets a request to become a model. After making hundreds of dollars, but hating the life she's living, she returns back to Tulsa to see her old friends.

I know this took place in 1960 but I added my own modern twists.( Really just fashion/clothing)
This is my first story btw so please give me advice! Thx!

I might come back to this story and add more after I finish my other stories I am working on.

From the moment they met at the bus stop on her first day of kindergarten and his first day of second grade, they were inseparable and could understand each other with just a look. Due to their birthdays, Soda and Johnny were in the same grade, but he always would ask for Charlotte and Pony when he came over to play. Then I stormed downstairs, when Darry kicked me out I sobered up fast. I looked at him dead in the eyes yelling, "I HATE YOU DARREL CURTIS! I FUCKING HATE YOU!" As I yelled that I saw something in his eyes, I've never seen before, it looked like guilt, he opened up his mouth but, I ran out of the house and never looked back.

Darrel is stressed with work and taking care of his two brothers and was getting angry a lot recently. Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time. Ponyboy was struggling with his sexual orientation and was scared what others would say when he realised he had fallen in love with, not even a girl, but Johnny Cade. Really just me trauma-dumping onto all of the Curtis brothers and adding Darrel's anger issues to the mix.
