Jimmy had always been a bit of a wild child, and a joker to his friends and family - or his sister- as the only family he truly counted on. He and his sister fled from the dysfunctional childhood life they once knew, and made a happier life together in a new city. He never truly got over the love he felt for one woman so far in his past, yet still pines over, and was haunted by her in his dreams. Jimmy will forever regret the unfortunate circumstances that lead him to lose the only girl he truly felt anything for. Which resulted in him leaving his sister and life behind to distract his broken heart. Although he did try to find her, he never was successful and therfore in the end gave up. Jimmy only ever came back for a quick visit to his sister and niece, but now tragic circumstances bring him back to the city to stay, and play his role as the father figure he doubts he can fill.
Will he make amends? Will he find the missing piece that haunts his sleep? Will he finally have a second - first - chance ?
~"You don't- you don't need me."
I stared in shock. This was the first shred of emotion he'd shown since he started avoiding me, and I had no idea how to respond. What was I supposed to say to something like that? So I let myself be honest, and I told him exactly how I felt. "But I do." I almost choked on my words. "I do need you. I can't talk to anybody else. I can't eat. I can't sleep. And I know you know what that's like."~
Liliana is now an orphan. Just 17 years old, she lost her parents in a boating accident and now she must live with her best friend, her best friend's parents and her best friend's brother, Joseph. She struggles through her grief as well as dealing with the mysterious but obnoxious Joseph, and it soon comes to light that he isn't the only one around her keeping secrets. Living under the same roof, tensions arise, and Liliana begins to discover that a perfect family may not be so perfect after all."
