In my twenty-six years, never have I gotten into a fight. But today, of all fucking days, I play the mediator between two women I don't fucking know. I held the ice pack on my forehead. I was restrained once again in the dark operating room.

"So, you got into a fight," I hear in the distance.

"Correction. I tried to stop the fight" My head was hurting, but I opened my eyes to see Dr. Rowan standing against the doorway. He was wearing glasses this time, and his light brown hair was slicked back. I think I need another check-up.
