At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.

Rosette was able to go to this school because she received a scholarship however, the school is run by three rich boys named the H3 (Handsome three). They go around just bullying everybody and anybody who makes them mad. What is worse is when a person is targeted at the school the whole school bully's them as well. One day Rosette decided it was enough and confronted Duke, the leader of the H3. After that, her whole life began to change.

Being a teenager is tough, and that's before you factor in the boys, jealous exes and developmental issues. -------------------------------------- "Hello? Who is this?" I asked. Silence replied my question. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I was about to hang up but then a quiet whisper came through the other end of the line. "Stay away from him." "What? who? Who is this?" Fear started to creep into my voice. "Just stay away, I don't want to have to do something drastic." Their voice was cold, sending shivers down my spine. "Who is this? She has mixed feelings about participating in a sport after loathing them so much. The teenage period is usually not always easy. You make mistakes, you learn from them. It's like a moulding phase towards adulthood, which tends to be harder than adults make it sound. Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. I really want to say that I cried because of how he humiliated me in front of the king. But no, I knew the truth.
