My dnd characters meet ghosts! The footpath was rutted, and the fresh season's first heat had dried the soft spring mud, leaving casts on every shoe. The streetlights cast a lovely golden glow over everything. Aware of the implications a twisted ankle would have for the remainder of his voyage, Mairs carefully chose his way over. The number of houses slowly declines, and the road leads to grass then bushes. The gloomy woods resemble chivalrous black knights who have recently emerged from legend. His feet followed a slender strip of exposed dirt through the enormous roots and leaves as the road at his feet faded into the trees' darkness. As he passes, he lets his hands trail against their skin and senses their kind souls. His feet followed a slender strip of exposed dirt through the enormous roots and leaves as the road at his feet faded into the trees' darkness. As he passes, he lets his hands rest on their skin and senses their kind souls. As they reach for the light they will never see, this is the world they live in. '"Just go knock on the door. Oh, what could happen" Mairs mutters under his breath as he stares up, the sight alone gave him the chills.

"I know you are there," she said, her heart beating loud in her chest as her eyes searched frantically around. "I can...sense you." She added, hoping that might just scare whoever of whatever that was following her. She sighed, waiting for an answer or a noise, or anything that would just alert her of the ubiquitous presence with her. However, when a long time passed and nothing happened -the trees were still as still as they were and the moonlight shone as brightly- she counted from one to ten and turned to continue on her walk but she stopped frozen when she came face to face with the biggest wolf she had ever seen. Her heart jumped out of her chest when her eyes locked with it's red ones. A late run in the woods one night brought Asher to human teenagers camping in the woods. The fact that they could feel free to party there despite all the stories told about the woods interest him and a flitting thought to see what they were up to brought him face to face to someone he never thought he would meet. She was not pretty and wasn't even the average of his taste in women but there was something about her that seemed to pull him and seemed to calm his raging demon. But apart from that was something else, something that screamed danger and might ruin all his years of effort.
