Here is a story that I submitted in order to apply for the 2015 round of Blizzard Entertainment summer internship opportunities. It takes the story of a legendary sword from Warcraft's past and ties it together with events in the current expansion, Warlords of Draenor. My goal was to forge a link between disparate story threads which had been left dangling and bring them into the larger mythos of the universe of the Warcraft series.

Warcraft: An Alternate Timeline
A short story about Thrall and Jaina in an alternate timeline. Shortly after Thrall returns from the alternate Draenor, where he killed Garrosh Hellscream, he confronts Chromie, a timewalking bronze dragon in her gnome form, with questions which have lingered his mind ever since Theramore was destroyed: What if? What if he helped Jaina? What if he chose her as his life-mate? Would it all be different? Chromie shows Thrall a possible alternate timeline, set between the events of The Frozen Throne and Warlords of Draenor, and surprises him how little differences in the past could have changed Azeroth forever.Complete
