The people of Zaleevdrael suffer under the reign of the new king. Villages are being raided, blood gets spilled, children starve to death. Rumors are, he isn't quite human, but something... else. Something ancient.

Nokk knows they are just stories though. Stories, people made up, because they just couldn't wrap their puny little heads around the fact that a mere mortal would be able to take down the dragon riders. After all, they have been protecting Zaleevdrael and the lands beyond for centuries.

But no one suffers so much under the disappearance of the riders as much as Nokk and his mother, for his father was one. But then he finds a cave with five dragon eggs in it and he knows that they are the last hope for the people and it is his duty to make sure the king goes down by finding suitable riders and leading them into combat.
