Chloe's life was seemingly perfect. She had amazing parents and an amazing sister. She was what people in the Outer Banks call a Kook a rich kid. However, she was not just the same rich girl who was a typical Kook her parents understood the value of hard work and made sure she was a hard worker.

She grew up watching her dad play baseball in the major league until his final days in the league. After he left, they moved to her mother's hometown of Kildare County. In an attempt to fit in with the rich folk, Chloe's father befriended the king of the island Ward Cameron. These men were like peas in a pod, and so their families were together all of the time.

Rafe Cameron Ward's son showed interest in one of the twins from the beginning. He was immediately shot down, but she stayed friends with him. They stayed friends there for each other through thick in thin.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
