This story was inspired by the movie(s) The Expendables... Kind of... I hope you'll like it :P

German's and Angie's relationship slowly started to get ruined because German was working too much and haven't been around Angie and his children Julie and Joshua.

This has been going on until Angie decides to divorce and move into a different country with the children and it didn't matter what did German do: She left anyway and she even changed phone number and everything just to be far away from him.

Soon after this happened German meets his old friend Barney Ross and he want to help him get out of his depression so he offers him a new job...All Rights Reserved

As she tries to figure out how the train tickets system works, a young man approaches her. While two make conversation the train arrives. passengers got on and off the train, and the young man walked backwards towards the doors of the train. "So, let's make some memories." He suggested, holding out his hand for her to take. Will Maya take the leap of faith and trust a complete stranger she just met or will she return to the airport and spend the next 24 hours on the hard plastic chairs while waiting for her flight ?

Maya has no clue where Knox is or that he has the means to get her out of her current situation. She works hard, she's determined and she survives all that life is throwing her way. She grows as an independent, confident woman with something to prove. Her luck turns around when her family is accepted as refugees to America. Will she look for Knox? How will they meet? This book was inspirated by the book "The count of Monte Cristo" as the title says too :3 Angie left Buenos Aires 5 years ago. She didn't think she can return after what happened there, but when it happens she realizes how much she missed her old home. She thought she forgot about her bad memories, but soon she realizes that she didn't and when she meets again the one she loved back then things will suddenly change. Wheb German sees Angie again after so many years he desides to talk to her alone as soon as possible and then he finds out about a horrible secret that she has been hiding. But what is that? Will they find piece and become friends, or Angie will hate him forever?
