This is my first organized collection of poetry which I have written, one I procrastinated on for long enough, but here we are. Can't let perfectionism hold me back forever, can I?
Hi, I'm Meadow, and I write poetry for a hobby. For the most part, I have done so to help express and release some of my emotions. In here, you will find plenty of romantic themes, particularly unrequited love, with the occasional self-doubt, existential thought, flash of hope, flight of imagination, and a few metaphors that extend throughout multiple poems.
I write poetry mainly because of three people. They all have, to a bigger or smaller extent, poetry dedicated to them in this collection. One of them is the first person to ever compliment my poetry writing and gave me the confidence to become an artist; one is a person I can't seem to stop having feelings for; one sparked my most productive writing period so far. They could be called the three Muses of this collection (although one other person also has their dedicated chapter).
The collection contains poetry I wrote from 2019 to 2022. The poems are divided thematically into six chapters, with a prequel as well as a final chapter serving as a short intro & outro. The prequel contains the first poem I have written in English - I will leave you to discover the rest.
With this lengthy introduction out of the way, thanks for checking this collection out, and I hope you enjoy reading it!
