Kion, leader of the Lion Guard, has grown up a member of the royal family all his life. "Kion, son of Simba and Nala" is a title he's used to hearing.
Little does he know, a long time ago, his mother had a friend, a very close friend... This friend had been in a forbidden romance with a lion from another pride who she was unable to be with any longer, but not before conceiving a cub... a cub she couldn't raise.
This friend gave up the cub to Nala, and Nala agreed to raise him as her own and tell everyone that she was its mother. But deep down in her heart, she doesn't think the cub that she later named Kion would be better off living this lie.
Until someone very close to him finds out the truth...

Lion Guard: The Journey To The Tree Of Life
This story takes place after season 3 episode 10 mama binturong. Im writting this story for two reasons: First I love lion guard one, of my favorite shows, and because I love the lion king. Second I'm dying waiting for the next epsiodes to come out so writing this makes me feel better.
