Darren, Dovereen's elder brother doesn't have anyone else than Dovereen. They live in the middle of a forest because of the Reiverns, the emotionless people ruling the world. But, there are left some "good  people" who aren't emotionless. One day a group of Reiverns set a fire on their house. Both Darren and Dovereen are safe. But then, Reiverns found those two. They went to the depth of the forest to live safely. But they need to fight. But both of them knows, one of the three (neilson, hunting friend of Darren) will be killed in the fight.
