The Queen

Raven Visenry is your typical, average, American teen. Well, kind of, not counting that she's an orphan, is alternately starved, bullied, and ordered around by her foster mother, Böse Frau, and that she's a bit of a social outcast. So, yeah, she's basically your average American teen.
After a particularly nasty morning involving being woken up at the crack of dawn and to make breakfast for over half a dozen people, Raven receives a letter. And this one tiny, purplish-colored manila envelope changes her life forever.
Turns out, the letter was a portal- a portal to another world where magic exists, superheroes keep watch over the cities, and giant glowing castles rise on the highest peaks of the highest mountains. But, like always, Raven is a powerful magnet for trouble, and she finds herself caught up in a dangerous plot to save a kidnapped queen, an endeavour to prove herself in a band of superheroes disguised as a band of rock stars, and a quest to cure the little sister of a dear friend from her leprosy, and a horrible desire to never go back to the comparably boring life she led on Earth.
Question is, will the discovery of her true identity either destroy her, or make her more powerful than she ever was?
Only time will tell.
