UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION Roses. Quickshadow had always found those flowers beautiful; and they were so intricate, layer upon layer of petals. She knew nothing about this newspark, or how it came to be born, or what in the name of Primus happened to its carrier--but that was all waiting to be unveiled, just like slowly peeling the petals off of a gorgeous crimson flower. - Things take a turn for the worst when the newest rescue bot finds an abandoned newspark, who she lovingly names Rose, in the woods on the Mainland. The tension between Heatwave and Quickshadow thickens when a few pent-up feelings are brought to light, and they quickly begin to realize that they need to set aside their differences (and maybe their emotions) in order to keep the team together as major problems begin to surface. Adopting a helpless, abandoned sparkling doesn't seem so complicated at first, but this one happens to have a dangerous secret, one none of them know. And when that secret casts over the team in a dark shadow with questionable motives and a mysterious links to her past, Quickshadow has to make one of the most difficult choices in her functioning: give up her one chance to save someone she thought she'd lost, or risk everything to protect her new-found family.
