What does a soldier dream of more than a life of peace? It has been five years since the fall of Calamity Ganon. The Legend of Zelda: The Sage of Darkness by landon_shacklette

When Link is defeated by Ganondorf, he must do whatever it takes to keep Zelda safe. Even if it means joining Ganondorf and becoming the Sage of Darkness. Now, Zelda and her son, Casey, must stop Ganondorf and Link, with the help of Kakariko Village leader and Casey's girlfriend, Beth.

When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try. [Under Rewriting] Succeeding the events of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Link and Zelda descend from the clouds begin their lives in marriage. They continue to discover the wonders of the Surface, but obstacles from their shared past weigh their hearts and hinder their intimate desires. As I write, my innocent mind grows as much as Link and Zelda's relationship does. Instead of being afraid to share these, I proceed to look upon this as sharing my growth as a writer and a huge release of my secret world unto you, dear reader. I'm in the process of completely transforming this into a better story that feels like it's actually from a Zelda game and including musical and visual media so you see it how I do. The Legend of Zelda characters and games belong to Nintendo and the blessed people who created the beloved franchise.

The goddesses have decided to mix it up. The pieces have found new homes and the new hero must work her way to defeat who she once knew as her hero. Ganondorf, whom they worked so hard to defeat, is supposed to be her close ally. As Zelda fights Link, she meets others who have inherited spirits through the cycles. Through her journey, she realizes she must learn to trust her new comrades in order to defeat Link. (This story is undergoing a rewrite. Uh... it's pretty rough to get through. Keeping it up because I don't like deleting history.)
