Gemma had it all. She had just graduated from nursing school, had a great job at a Children's Hospital and a wonderful boyfriend. She was on top of the world.

Until he cheated.

Embarrassed and ashamed, Gemma told her family. She was devastated, they had been together for more than a year, and even had talked about marriage that coming fall. Her family was naturally devastated for her, but after a while, that devastation turned into pity. Especially when her younger sister Rose got engaged.

After a party full of gossiping family and friends who pitied her, Gemma created a boyfriend. He was perfect. Charming, tall, dark, and handsome, and he was a lie. Week after week, dinner after dinner, Gemma created perfect excuses for him, reasons why he was not in attendance.

The wedding is two weeks away, and Gemma is running out of excuses. Gemma is forced to face the consequences or keep letting her lies get bigger and bigger and bigger.

That is until she met him.
